Leaving The Corporate World

For 15 years, Gabe lived in the world of software. He helped small teams scale into global players, learned how to lead, and built relationships that lasted well beyond the contract. The work was rewarding, but there was always one thing missing: you can’t hold software in your hands. You can’t watch it roll down the street or hear it fire up at 6 a.m. in a shop. At times, it felt like building castles in the clouds.

Now, his world looks different. Trucks are moving, machines are humming, and crews are out in the community making things happen. The work is real and visible—you can see it, hear it, and know it matters.

Every day, Gabe gets to point to something and say, “we did that.” Not a slide deck or a digital metric, but tangible results—work that carries weight, earns loyalty, and shows pride in the people who make it happen.

Who Does What?

Gabe is the full-time operator, focused on leading the business day to day—working shoulder to shoulder with employees, serving customers, and steering strategy.

Cailyn is a senior marketing executive. While she isn’t involved in daily operations, she plays a key role behind the scenes, offering strategic input on people, brand, and culture.

Doing Business With Integrity

The name “Five Oceans” comes from our family history of entrepreneurs, relatives who lived oceans apart but shared the same philosophy: take care of your employees, care deeply about the customer and think long-term.

They believed employees should be happy at work, and customers should come back because they felt genuinely cared for. Their businesses weren’t flashy, but they were honest, solid, and built to last.

We carry that spirit forward, investing in companies that prioritize people, deliver real value, and grow with integrity.
